Apart form the campus in Aalborg, the University has departments and campuses in other parts of Denmark as well.

Aalborg University Esbjerg

Aalborg University has a campus in the town of Esbjerg in the south-western part of the coast of Jutland (Esbjerg Institute of Technology). The activities taking place at the Esbjerg campus focus on areas within engineering and technology.

The City of Esbjerg

The city of Esbjerg is the local capital of Western Jutland and is strategically located at the North Sea and the Wadden Sea, having beaches, dunes, woodland, islands, small towns of historical interest, a farming heritage, many fascinating museums, nature parks and amusement parks such as Legoland close by.

As the local capital, Esbjerg is the most dynamic town of western Denmark and has approximately 80,000 inhabitants. The expansion of the town reads like a fairytale. In just 125 years, Esbjerg has developed from a barren sand dune to the fifth largest town in Denmark. Esbjerg can also lay claim to being one of Denmark's largest ports for shipping, fishing and oil & gas activities.

Aalborg University Copenhagen

Additionally, Aalborg University has a department Copenhagen Institute of Technology in the city of Copenhagen. The activities taking place at this department likewise focus on areas within engineering and technology.

The City of Copenhagen

Copenhagen has approximately 1,7 mill inhabitants, including the suburbs. It is a dynamic and internationally oriented city while at the same time proud of its old, cultural heritage. In Copenhagen you will e.g. find the Queen's Palace, the Parliament, the national Royal Theatre, the national Opera, an IMAX planetarium and an abundance of other interesting national and cultural assets.

Even though Copenhagen is a major city, it is nevertheless easy to find your way around, and the city has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere with plenty of bicyclists, plazas, cafés, pubs, restaurants, music clubs etc. Copenhagen offers everything from sightseeing to entertainment to experiences.
