Data Protection and Privacy, single course

In this course, we will work with the following topics:

  1. Complexities of privacy, and how to operationalise the legal frameworks
  2. IT systems and digital identity in a privacy context
  3. Privacy engineering – amongst others: privacy impact assessments and other tools
  4. Data protection and privacy enhancing technologies (not about Tor but an overall talk about different potential, existing and future applications)
  5. Easy to say but hard to operationalise – about privacy ethics and the bigger picture
