Requirements

The following bachelor's and diploma engineering programs provide access to the master's program as a civil engineer in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Engineering):

Restricted admission

The master's degree program in Chemical Engineering has restricted admission. This means that not all applicants who apply in time and who meet the entry requirements are guaranteed a study place. The program expects to offer 15 study places for the upcoming admission. If you have a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from Aalborg University in Esbjerg, and you apply in time for the master's degree program in Chemical Engineering in direct extension of your bachelor's degree, you are required to be admitted to the master's degree. Selection for admission among qualified applicants is based on the following criteria:

• Applicants are assessed on the basis of the grade point average of their qualifying education at the time of application

Official English language requirements

Applicants applying for Master's programmes at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores:

Danish B level in English compares to:

IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
ECPE: Passed test including certificate

How to apply

When you apply for a Master's programme at Aalborg University, you have to use the Application Portal which is a national Danish digital application system in which the entire application process is handled.

Please note that some of the programmes offered may be subject to restricted admission. That means that the individual programmes may have a limited number of student places. Information on the programmes affected and the exact number of places offered will be available shortly when finally clarified.
