Application and requirements

The programme takes place in Beijing, China.  

A bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration (three years) or equivalent to it is required. However, students with a bachelor's degree in other fields are also encouraged to consider the programme and apply especially if they have relevant practical experience.

The programme offers a limited number of seats. After the assessment of applications, the best professionally qualified students will be offered enrolment on the programme. Professional qualification includes the student's GPA (grade point average) as well as other factors, which provide an additional insight into the professional qualification of the student.

According to the Danish legislation, applicants with an already completed master's degree will be given last priority, and can only be admitted provided that there will be available student spots after the first round of application.

EU and NON-EU students may be required to pay tuition fee

The master’s programme in Economics and Business Administration/Innovation Management in Beijing, China offers a limited number of seats and admission to the programme is highly competitive. This means that not all applicants who apply for admission before deadline and meet the admission requirements are secured student places. The programme expects to offer 15 student places.


Achieved qualifications and the grade point average for ECTS credits obtained during the qualifying bachelor's degree at the time of application.

Who should apply?

The programme is suited for students with a background as a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration (In Danish: HA (Alle linier og kombinationer)) or the equivalent. The applicants should have a motivation to learn in a stimulating cross-cultural environment and be prepared to stay in China through most of the education.

When to apply?

The deadline for 2018 admission is March 1st, 2019.

Official English language requirements

Applicants applying for Master's programmes at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores:

Danish B level in English compares to:

IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
ECPE: Passed test including certificate

How to apply

When you apply for a Master's programme at Aalborg University, you have to use the Application Portal which is a national Danish digital application system in which the entire application process is handled.

Please note that some of the programmes offered may be subject to restricted admission. That means that the individual programmes may have a limited number of student places. Information on the programmes affected and the exact number of places offered will be available shortly when finally clarified.
