Module 4: The External Role of the EU

The course will introduce students to the institutional architecture of the EU by providing an in-depth insight into the EU institutions and the decision-making processes in relation to external policies. The course will discuss e.g. EU foreign, trade and neighbourhood policies, and its impact on the global world. Moreover, students will gain theoretical knowledge relevant to understanding the developments in the respective policy areas. The module forms the basis for further theoretical and practical work within the field in the project module of the semester, see Module 8.
