Application and requirements

You can apply when you have a Bachelor’s degree in:

Geografi (Geography) (AAU)
Geografi og Geoinformatik (Geography and Geoinformatics) (KU)
Geologi-Geoscience (KU)

or the like.

Please make sure you send your application form and further documentation to the International Office by the required deadline.

STUDY START

Studies can be commenced only from September 1. 

RESTRICTED ADMISSION

The admission to the Master’s programme in Geography is restricted. This means that not all applicants who apply for admission before deadline and meet the admission requirements will be enrolled. The programme expects to admit 15 students.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO Geography

1) GRADE POINT AVERAGE

from a qualifying Bachelor programme (alternatively the grade points are emphasized which have been achieved at the time of application, if the qualifying examination has not been completed).

Official English language requirements

Applicants applying for Master's programmes at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores:

Danish B level in English compares to:

IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
ECPE: Passed test including certificate

How to apply

When you apply for a Master's programme at Aalborg University, you have to use the Application Portal which is a national Danish digital application system in which the entire application process is handled.

Please note that some of the programmes offered may be subject to restricted admission. That means that the individual programmes may have a limited number of student places. Information on the programmes affected and the exact number of places offered will be available shortly when finally clarified.
