Application and requirements


A range of technical bachelor degrees in business or industrial engineering fulfill the admission requirements. Please see the degrees in the curriculum. Students with another Bachelor degree may be admitted, if the applicant is considered as having comparable educational prerequisites. The University can stipulate requirements concerning conducting additional exams prior to the start of study.

As the study programme has a limited number of seats, there is no guarantee of enrollment, even if you possess a qualifying Bachelor degree.
 

The specialisation in Operations and Innovation Management

Furthermore, the following bachelor degrees also qualify for the specialisation Operations and Innovation Management:

  • Information Technology with specialisation in Business (AAU Aalborg)
  • Bachelor in Engineering Global business engineering (DTU)

language qualifications

All applicants must, as a minimum, document English language qualifications comparable to an "English B level" in the Danish upper secondary school (gymnasium) (cf. the Admission Order).

Official English language requirements

Applicants applying for Master's programmes at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores:

Danish B level in English compares to:

IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
ECPE: Passed test including certificate

How to apply

When you apply for a Master's programme at Aalborg University, you have to use the Application Portal which is a national Danish digital application system in which the entire application process is handled.

Please note that some of the programmes offered may be subject to restricted admission. That means that the individual programmes may have a limited number of student places. Information on the programmes affected and the exact number of places offered will be available shortly when finally clarified.
