With a Master’s degree in Materials Technology you will be able to work in private or public companies where a central part of the job is an extensive knowledge of the properties of materials, knowledge of manufacturing and processing methods, and the interaction between these.

Problem based learning and working in groups during your study programme will give you many useful skills that make you an attractive candidate on the job market. You know how to approach a problem and solve it in collaboration with other people, which is often how things are done in the “real world”.

Your tasks may include:

  • Development and improvement of advanced materials, products, production processes and production systems
  • Product development
  • Production

  • Procurement and sales
  • Consulting
  • Scientific research

Your job title may be:

  • development or production engineer
