Discover the potentials of modern geographic information technology
Over the course of this programme, you gain a detailed understanding of the concepts and necessary skills to collect, manage, analyse, and disseminate various kinds of digital geographic information. Basic knowledge about geographic information and information technology is required for enrolment. Typically, you need a Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geography, land management, urban planning, environmental planning, or related programmes.
Examples of semester projects include:
- development of web-based mapping solutions (such as for planning new charging stations for electric cars or to support citizens in finding accommodation in Copenhagen)
- simulations of processes such as urban expansion or desertification
- analyses of geographic phenomena as different as the monitoring of iceberg movement, access to public transport, or the potential for solar installations in Denmark
The semester projects therefore allow you to apply what you have learned in the lectures to an area that fits your background and interests.
