Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Water and Environment or the like.

Applicants with the following degree are entitled to admission:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering with specialisation in Water and Environment), Aalborg University

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Denmark
• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Water and Environment, Aalborg University
• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Aalborg University (campus Esbjerg)
• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Environmental Engineering, VIA University College
• Bachelor of Engineering in Supply Engineering, VIA University College
• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering (with specialisation in Environmental Engineering), Aarhus University

Applicants applying for Master's programmes at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores:

Danish B level in English compares to:

IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
ECPE: Passed test including certificate

Application procedures

When you apply for a Master's programme at Aalborg University, you have to use the Application Portal which is a national Danish digital application system in which the entire application process is handled.

Please note that some of the programmes offered may be subject to restricted admission. That means that the individual programmes may have a limited number of student places. Information on the programmes affected and the exact number of places offered will be available shortly when finally clarified.
