Help new international students - be a Buddy!

Help others, make new friends, and learn about other cultures.

AAU’s Buddy-programme are seeking new buddies.

Corona seems to be retreating; the borders open gradually, and AAU will hopefully soon get its’ international students back. That means that international students will also begin to visit the Northern Paris (Aalborg)!

Because of this, International Office is in need of the next generation of volunteer buddies.

A buddy is the student that does not mind spending extra time helping internationals settle in at AAU. A buddy will show the best reading places, the secrets of Aalborg, the best pubs and introduce them to the amazing student-life that AAU and Aalborg have to offer.

As a buddy you should help newcomers in their first months in Aalborg and help in creating new friendships.

Before meeting the international students, you will be briefed, to ensure that you are well equipped in helping with the challenges that a new international student can encounter in Denmark.

Your buddy-coordinators will sweeten the deal by hosting multiple social events, like pubcrawls, parties and dinners, during the semester. Both buddies and international students are attending these.

So… Wake up from the Corona-slumber and help the next set of international students finding their place in Aalborg, while you get some supplement for your CV and expand your international network, where you’ll encounter new cultural experiences yourself!

After applying we will send a confirmation within the following days.
