What kind of industry is your company/organisation a part of?

Renewable Energy 

What type of tasks do you perform?

Design and verification of power electronics converters.

What has your career path looked like until now?

Following a clear technical path. I am frequently offered new challenges.

What is your typical workday like?

Daily, I move forward with my design and verification tasks. Besides, we have short status meetings on the different projects I participate. It is also customary to have design review sessions with the rest of the team.

What is the best thing about your job?

A perfect combination between design work and hands on experience by performing laboratory and field tests.

What have you done with your degree and competencies from AAU?

I apply the acquired competences everyday. Especially those on electrical engineering and power electronics. PBL has also helped me to manage projects.

What made you want to study in Denmark, and why did you choose AAU?

Denmark is a leading country on innovation and engineering. AAU is one of the best engineering universities in the world.

What made you choose your specific programme, and would you have chosen different today?

I wanted to work with Renewable Energy. I am very happy with my decision. I have a good education in a field that has a lot of future.

What are the best memories from your years at AAU?

The best memories are my good friends. I enjoyed helping each other during courses and projects. I can also highlight the international environment. 

What were your dreams for the future when you graduated?

Leave the world a bit better after my working years. Through engineering, help to make it cleaner, more sustainable and equal.

Yes

What are your current dreams for the future?

They have not changed. 

Your best career advice for students and newly graduates?

Be dedicated, help each other and move forward.

What does it mean to you that AAU still has an interest in you after your graduation?

It feels good to be connected to AAU. The place were you studied is always special.

Anything else, which is relevant to mention about your time at AAU?

My studies at AAU made me grow professionally, but also changed my way of seeing the world; and that is something I really appreciate.
