Student life at AAU
Every day, you’ll find yourself surrounded by students from a wide range of study programmes. Life on campus is vibrant and social – whether you’re sharing lunch in the canteens, studying in quiet reading spaces, working together in group rooms, or relaxing outdoors in the comfortable seating areas spread across campus. There are always places to meet, connect, and be part of the student community.
Campus cities
Aalborg University has three campuses located in three different cities across Denmark: Aalborg, Esbjerg, and Copenhagen.
Whether you choose to study in Aalborg, Copenhagen, or Esbjerg, you will become part of a student community where academic excellence and a strong sense of belonging go hand in hand. Each campus has its own atmosphere and character, but they all have one thing in common: from day one, you will be part of the community.

Aalborg University Library (AUB)
AAU Library supports both individual study and group work. It offers access to a wide range of digital and physical resources, quiet study areas, and group rooms. The library is an important part of student life at Aalborg University, where you can focus, collaborate, and find the academic support you need throughout your studies.

Group and project work at AAU
At Aalborg University, group work and project work are a central part of student life. This means you will not just study on your own – you will work closely with other students in project groups on a range of different projects.
Working on projects gives you the opportunity to take on different roles. You might be the one who keeps the project on track and makes sure the group meets its deadlines. You might be the person who brings the team together and helps create a positive working environment. Or you might enjoy analysing data, finding relevant sources, or communicating your results in a clear and engaging way. Whatever role you take on, project work will help you develop both your academic and collaborative skills.
