What kind of industry is your company/organisation a part of?

Hi-Con is a part of the construction industry.

Name three things you spend the most time on in your work?

Currently, I spend a lot of my time focusing on: Content Creation, Paid and Organic Social, and Marketing Strategy.

What is the most important learning in your working life so far?

One valuable lesson I quickly learned in my career is that the most effective way to learn something unfamiliar is to immerse yourself in it.

Relying solely on others to teach or guide you may not always be ideal or possible, so taking initiative and assuming responsibility can accelerate your personal growth.

What motivates you?

A positive and supportive workplace is a strong motivator. It instills a desire to give your best effort . Additionally, when you are provided with trust, responsibility, and engaging tasks, you are in a solid position.

What are your best memories from your time at AAU?

I would have to say that it was all the wonderful and inspiring people from all over the world that I was introduced to, many of whom I am still close to today.

How do you use your degree and competencies from AAU?

The problem-based learning approach really stuck with me. It gave me a lot more independence and a stronger focus on solving problems and getting results. Learning how to tackle real-life complex problems in school was a game changer for me, and it's something I've carried into my professional career.

What made you choose AAU?

I chose AAU because there were not many marketing degree options available in Norway. Since I had spent a lot of time in Denmark during my childhood, moving there felt like a natural decision.

Additionally, AAU stood out by offering a Master's Degree in marketing that had an international perspective and focus, which was exactly what I was looking for.

What made you choose your specific programme?

I ended up going down the marketing route after taking some marketing and consumer psychology classes in high school. It really sparked my interest in brand development, marketing strategy, and communications.

As a result, I ended up taking both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in the field of marketing.

With the knowledge and insight you have today, what advice would you give yourself if you were to start studying at AAU?

If I were to give advice to myself, it would be to have fun, put in the effort, learn about the Danish culture from day one, and build connections with different types of people.

Your best career advice for students and newly graduates?

Do not give up, stay positive, follow your instincts, network actively and join programs. And if you're looking for a job in Denmark (and outside of Copenhagen), I strongly suggest learning Danish.

Especially in the marketing field, there aren't many positions for non-Danish speakers since effective communication is prioritized.

Anything else, which is relevant to mention about your time at AAU?

My time at AAU and its career programs, really gave the necessary tools in order to land my first job in Denmark.
