What have I done with my degree and competencies from AAU?

For almost 4 years, I worked at LEGO Group Denmark in Global Mobility and Design Management departments. My intercultural competencies have been very helpful. They are helping me as well in my current job as a professional coach and mindfulness trainer.

What is your best memory from AAU?

The time spent with my colleagues and professors. The project work was great as well.

What made me want to study in Denmark, and why did I choose Aalborg University?

I loved the Culture, Communication and Globalization Master Program's curriculum.

What made me choose my specific programme, and would I have chosen different today?

I'm fascinated by working with people, by the intercultural aspects, by understanding people's motivations, dreams, visions along with the challenges they encounter on their path.

What were my dreams for the future when I graduated?

To contribute at making this world a better place for all of us.

Am i presently working in Denmark?

Yes.

My employment since graduation?

I worked for LEGO Group for about 4 years and now I have my own company, CM-CAMP, where I work as a professional coach and mindfulness trainer.

A typical work day for me

There is no typical work day for me. A constant is that I begin my day with yoga and meditation. This morning practice supports me in being focused, calm, patient, grounded, active, kind, and compassionate. It also reminds me every day of my dreams and my life purpose. After the morning practice, I might have coaching sessions, or a mindfulness workshop, or a mindfulness training, I might work on my self-development, marketing, communication or networking. Depends very much on the day. I love the flexibility and the possibility to make my own program, of course depending as well on my clients, and I love supporting people.

What are my current dreams for the future?
My current dreams for the future, professionally speaking, are to bring more mindfulness in universities and organizations, and to expend my coaching practice, to reach and support more people in unlocking their full potential, and living a purposeful and fulfilling life. I also dream to start teaching mindfulness in kindergartens and schools, as it would be amazing for the kids to grow up with skills and tools that enable them to be calmer, more focused, happier and to approach life's challenges with more ease. I dream as well to continue teaching mindfulness and maybe to afford to do pro bono coaching for refugees or for people in conflict zone. Another dream is to work with people that made some mistakes in their lives, to support them in rediscovering the goodness inside themselves and to find a way of going further differently.

What does it mean to me that Aalborg University still has an interest in me after graduation?

I find it great! It's wonderful to have this community and to feel that the journey is not ending but it continues in another way.

My best career advice for students and newly graduates?

Find out what makes you tick, which are your values, which is your life purpose, which is your dream, and then turn it into reality! Don't be afraid of failure! You can do it, no matter which challenges are along the way! And you will feel fulfilled, and love your job and your life!

Anything else which is relevant to mention about my time at Aalborg University?

I had an amazing supervisor who is a continuous inspiration: Susan Vonsild. I am grateful for meeting her and having her as a supervisor and informal mentor. I would like to thank her again for being such a wonderful human being.
