What kind of industry is your company/organisation a part of?

IT

Name three things you spend the most time on in your work?

  • Human Ressource
  • Management
  • People Management

What has your career path looked like until now?

I have been very privileged to have a wonderful career so far. I am always curious to new learnings and new beginnings, and the more mature and experienced I have become, the better and more exciting the tasks, and also that it is easier to go into "new" tasks as I have had "trial and error" in all kinds of HR related tasks.

How does your typical working day look like?

Lots of communication with management and managerial decisions all day, completing tasks and networking with staff, employer branding tasks externally also fill my day substantially.

What is the most important learning in your working life so far?

Always go for what you are motivated for, be flexible, curious and humble. This will help you immensely throughout your career.

What motivates you?

Being surrounded by happy, humorous and professional people motives me - and also to motive others the other way round.

What have you done with your degree and competencies from AAU?

I have grown immensely with my HR skills and today, I have a very packed CV full of wonderful experiences, meeting and getting to know people both here in Denmark and abroad.

What made you want to study in Denmark, and why did you choose AAU?

Love Aalborg and back in 1990 Aalborg University was still "growing up" and with a lot of innovative mindset, in another way than it is today - we were pioneers, and it was an experience, I have brought with me ever since.

What made you choose your specific programme?

I have chosen the absolute best background as a person and a professional. Could not wish for better. I loved studying and working at Aalborg University as my first job, it gave me a great start and the entrance to the human ressource field of business.

Your favorite memory from AAU?

The love for languages, grammar, culture and the high study spirit!

What were your dreams for the future when you graduated?

To work as a coach - in which I succeeded.

Your career advice for students and recent graduates when they enter the job market?

Be insisting, positive, endurant and humble/grateful to whatever your surroundings and network teach you. This will take you far.

With the knowledge and insight you have today, what advice would you give yourself if you were to start studying at AAU?

Be flexible, be hard working, take lectures in other faculties to meet co-students with other mindsets. Be active in a student organisation or participate in their events, to get to know people and make valuable networks.
