The Danish cyber national team secured bronze at the European Cyber Security Championship in Norway after three intense days of competition last week. This is a solid achievement, according to AAU Professor and Coach Jens Myrup Pedersen.

It's a superb placement for a very strong Danish team that is right up there in the top tier in Europe. It's been a rollercoaster, but we've had a team that, even when things looked tough, kept on fighting.

Denmark, the reigning champions, had to settle for third place as Germany and Switzerland took the first and second positions, respectively.

In one of the disciplines, called "attack/defense", in which the national team competed, they were given a server to defend while attacking and trying to exploit the servers of other teams. In another discipline named "jeopardy," they had to find information in vulnerable apps or websites, among other challenges.

The national team comprises ten individuals aged between 15 and 25 from across Denmark who earned their spots based on talent selection from a pool of over 800 hackers.
