About Biomedical Engineering and Informatics
If you would like to work with how engineering, technology, and data can measure, interpret, and influence the human body, Aalborg University’s exchange course in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics will suit you perfectly. You will have the opportunity to study electrical muscle stimulation, signal interpretation, motor control, brain-computer interfaces, pain research, and more.
This program is for those curious about improving health and healthcare through innovation. You can work on projects ranging from clinical data pipelines and AI-supported diagnosis to medical image analysis for diseases like Alzheimer’s, or develop devices and methods to support movement, communication, and therapy.

As an exchange student
You can choose from the modules listed below. You are required to earn 30 ECTS per semester.
All modules are at master level. Exchange students will be assessed by an academic evaluator, to ensure you have achieved a sufficient academic level.
In the Fall semester you must choose between version A or version B. It is not possible to mix modules between version A and B.
In the Spring semester you must choose one project module and three course modules. If you choose to write your master thesis you must select the 4th semester "Master thesis" project module. Be aware that AAU cannot issue your degree.
Additional information
You cannot mix modules from different exchange programmes/courses.
You can write your master thesis as part of an exchange semester. But AAU cannot issue the degree.
