An increasing number of companies operate on the global market and as a result, there is an increasing demand for graduates who can meet the challenges that come with globalisation, and who can develop and execute development strategies in an international perspective. The specialisation in Operations and Innovation Management will provide you with competences in international strategy and change processes, and you gain tools for analysis, organisation, and development in a global context.
During the study programme, you work with subjects such as strategy, innovation and change processes. Moreover, you get a chance to build a network industry even before graduation as the programme is characterised by a high degree of collaboration with industrial partners.
In your semester projects, you and your project group will work with relevant issues in relation to operations and innovation management, that challenge you to use all of your collected knowledge to come up with possible solutions. You are encouraged to occasionally collaborate with external organisations and businesses in your projects to get an idea of the work processes and current issues in the industry. This will prepare you better for your own work life after you graduate.
This is a full-time study programme, which is characterised by problem based project work in groups. You will be working closely with other students most of the time, and you are required to be present at the university on a daily basis and spend a vast majority of your day there.
If you complete the Master’s programme, you are entitled to the designation Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering (Management engineering with specialisation in Operation and Innovation Management).
As a graduate, you will be qualified to perform a number of challenging management tasks. Career opportunities are diverse, and you will not be limited to one job description. Your future job title could be International Project Manager, head of outsourcing or International Human Resource consultant.
