The HR area is central to the proper functioning of the entire university. The head of the HR Department resigned in the spring, and AAU is in the process of finding a new deputy director for HR who is scheduled to begin at the turn of the year. 

- In the interim, I have appointed Martin Vive Ivø as Acting Deputy Director of the HR department. We have a large and well-functioning HR department at Aalborg University, and Martin will help ensure stability and good collaboration across the university during this interim period. Martin Vive Ivø is Head of Campus and Head of Shared Services at AAU in Copenhagen, and he will also handle the job during the period, says University Director Søren Lind Christiansen.
