If you have not yet experienced the new faculty building AAU SUND on Selma Lagerløfs Vej, block out an hour in your calendar on Thursday, 1 June where the entire morning is devoted to exploring the new building. It is a unique architectural experience, as well as an opportunity to learn even more about what goes on at the Faculty of Medicine.

Exoskeletons and itch-inducing substances

Many of the faculty’s researchers are ready in the laboratories to talk about and demonstrate their work: Try an exoskeleton, see how a robotic hand prosthesis works, meet the social robots LOVOT, test sound biofeedback for balance and gait training, get a demonstration of 3D recording of movements, test the itch-inducing substances on your own body and much more.

- I hope that many people will want to stop by. AAU SUND is a unique building that deserves to be showcased and used. A perfect chamber of the heart for the health mecca that is under construction in this part of Aalborg. Something everyone at the university can take pride in, says Dean Lars Hvilsted Rasmussen.

More activities mark the opening

The open house event in the morning is followed by an official and more ceremonial inauguration for the closest partners at 14.00, and starting at 16.00 the doors open to all faculty staff members with families.
