Independent Research Fund Denmark has just awarded Sapere Aude grants to a number of talented researchers, including three researchers from AAU. With the prestigious grant from Independent Research Fund Denmark, the talented junior researchers will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen their research ideas and lead their own research groups.

The three researchers are:

• Caitlin Margaret Singleton, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience
• Alvaro Torralba Arias De Reyna, Department of Computer Science
• Christian Schilling, Department of Computer Science

Jørgen Frøkiær, Board Chair, Independent Research Fund Denmark, says in a press release:

- This year’s Sapere Aude recipients: Independent Research Fund Denmark research leaders represent the future of research in Denmark. The young, talented researchers extend our knowledge base with their groundbreaking ideas while also creating robust research preparedness through the production of new knowledge. At a time when research is crucial to tackling global challenges such as pandemics and the green transition, the new research leaders are showing the way forward.
