Christian Nielsen, Head of Department and Morten Lund, Vice Head of Department at AAU Business School (AAUBS) are temporarily relieved of their duties. This comes after the faculty management team was made aware of a number of managerial decisions and priorities at AAUBS that they wished to investigate further.
- We wanted to ensure a calm atmosphere around the investigation and therefore thought it best to relieve the two managers of their duties while the investigations are ongoing, SSH Dean Rasmus Antoft explains.
The AAU Finance and Accounts Department is currently working to assess the decisions that the university would like investigated and has interviewed a number of administrative staff members at AAUBS in this regard. However, Rasmus Antoft emphasizes that the assessment is solely about the responsibility of the department management and that no staff members at AAUBS are the subjects of the investigation.
- We are only looking into the department management’s decisions. But I am of course aware that this is a difficult situation that can create uncertainty among staff, says Rasmus Antoft.
He declined to elaborate on what the decisions deal with and expects a quick clarification of the matter. In the absence of Christian Nielsen and Morten Lund, Vice Head Jens Holmgren is acting on their behalf.
