AAU ensures coordinated participation in and influence on national and international joint strategic digitization initiatives in the research area. Through active efforts, the University will influence and be at the forefront of standards and requirements from, for example, grantors, research programmes, infrastructure partnerships and research policy goals.

2.1
AAU strengthens the research infrastructures and resources made available to researchers. This is done through coordinated expansion of own facilities combined with active collaboration on digital infrastructures, tools and access to knowledge and data. The aim is to strengthen the availability and use of digital solutions, to ensure compliance and to support research collaboration, knowledge dissemination and exposure of knowledge production. In this context, sufficient capacity for data processing, storage and networking must be ensured.

2.2
AAU strengthens existing research support by establishing a dedicated advisory function for researchers. The advisory function will be staffed by specialists with experience in advising and supporting researchers, and mentors will be assigned in the research environments. The advisory function will be a resource for competence development of researchers.

3.1
Research data management is strengthened through a combination of training and advice, and the development of policies and processes covering the full life cycle of research projects and data. The approach is based on the principles of good scientific practice from the "Danish Code of Research Integrity", as well as ensuring compliance with formal requirements and scientific standards. At the same time, it will support the assurance of confidentiality in collaboration with external parties.

4.1
AAU strengthens its efforts to digitally support the exposure of the university's knowledge production. This will strengthen the visibility and accessibility of AAU's research and will be done in accordance with the conditions and potentials of the individual subject areas, including new publishing methods - e.g. open science.

5.1
AAU establishes a joint competence centre for digitally supported learning. The competence centre will contribute to the ongoing development of digitally supported forms of learning, especially in PBL, and assist lecturers and tutors in implementing these forms of learning. The competence centre will provide technical and pedagogical-didactic advice. The competence centre will have close links to relevant research environments at AAU. As part of the organization of the competence center, decentralized units for digitally supported learning will be established, targeting efforts in the local environments.

6.1
Based on new digital possibilities and subsequent tendencies in the field of learning, especially with a focus on PBL, relevant academic environments are working on developing forms of learning driven by digital developments. This work will result in a number of generic learning styles for digitally supported learning and digital collaborative learning. Concrete forms of learning will be anchored in practice through the established competence centre for digitally supported learning.

A project will be set up with the aim of utilizing new digitally supported forms of studying to strengthen the area of furhter education and higher education.

On the basis of the experience gathered and knowledge gained from the PBL development projects, the interdisciplinary research project in PBL, both of which are Knowledge for the World initiatives, and the university's professional competences in PBL and digitally supported learning, the digital platforms needed to translate a digitally supported PBL model into effective practice are being established. Digital frameworks for student project work have a special focus in this context.

7.1
Through pilot projects and case studies, AAU will explore the use of digital learning resources brought about by new digitally supported forms of learning. Among other things, the recording of lectures, video production for use in for example flipped classroom and the use of digital materials are being considered. Based on the collective experience of pilot projects and cases, a digitalization project will be launched to establish the technological and organizational conditions for teachers to develop and use digital learning resources.

7.2
One or more projects are established to experiment with students' own production of digital materials as part of learning activities. Based on the experience of these projects, a digitalization project will be launched to establish the solutions necessary for students to produce digital materials in the context of lectures and project work.

8.1
A digitalization project will be launched to strengthen a coherent study environment that accommodates both academic and social relationships across virtual and physical spaces. It is expected that digital solutions will, among other things, strengthen relationships with and between students. The possibility of establishing a coherent digital entry point for students to relevant study information, systems, etc. will be explored.

8.2
Work will be initiated to utilize digital solutions in order to enhance study progression through increased student awareness and reflection on their own learning and study performance, both individually and in group work. In this context, digital opportunities to provide students with feedback on their own learning development will be explored.

9.1
Each study programme must work on how the development of students' general as well as subject-specific digital competences can be incorporated as a natural part of the overall learning activities and written into study regulations, semester descriptions and module descriptions, wherever it may be relevant.

10.1
AAU establishes digital solutions that support the administration and overview of AAU's collaborations as well as impact assessment and documentation of these collaborations.

11.1
In order to strengthen the digital support of both internal and external collaboration in education, research and cooperation, flexible digital solutions are established that can work with similar solutions of external parties.

12.1
Based on experience with digitalization at AAU, the organizational factors that can facilitate the initiation, implementation and realization of digitalization initiatives are described. The description will be used as background material for a kick-off seminar for AAU management on necessary prerequisites to facilitate digitalization and strengthen AAU's ability to plan and manage change and implementation processes. On this basis, concrete initiatives will be launched.

13.1
As a basis for relevant competence development offer, descriptions of the employee competencies needed for AAU to implement digitalization initiatives, to manage the organizational implementation of solutions and to create value from digital solutions that support the concrete task performance are developed. A separate focus will be placed on competencies that are needed for AAU's operational and support organisations which ensure that AAU benefits from cross-cutting digitisation.

13.2
Through close cooperation and coordination with the Competence, Organisation and Management effort area in accordance with Knowledge for the World, a competence development offer is ensured which enables AAU employees to acquire and maintain the necessary competences for both the use of digital solutions and participation in digital development.

14.1
Taking the Digital AAU initiative under the Strategy for the Administrative Areas as a starting point and focusing on digitally supported processes, existing and planned digital administrative solutions are assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure that the University's core activities are at the centre and that the solutions are optimal.

15.1
AAU will work towards increasingly coherent digitalization of all administrative work processes. The aim is to create consistency in all workflows across AAU and to increase quality and productivity.

15.2
AAU will work to ensure that data is accurate and can be exchanged across organizational units and systems. Data is born in one place, updated in one place and used in many places.

15.3
It is further investigated how and to what extent AAU can enable decision support, based on analysis of basic data, by using data analysis methods such as predictive analysis.
