AAU's Copenhagen campus is located in Sydhavn, one of Copenhagen's developing districts. The campus brings together modern teaching facilities, study spaces, laboratories and collaborative work areas, giving you everything you need in one place.

Students from a range of study programmes share the campus, creating an international study environment where you'll work on projects, attend lectures and collaborate with classmates throughout your studies. There are also cafés and common areas where you can take a break or meet up between classes.

Cecilie Skov Johansen is studying for a bachelor's degree in By-, energi- og miljøplanlægning at AAU Copenhagen, and among other things she especially appreciates the size of campus:

"It's a small campus here at AAU Copenhagen, and I actually think that's one of the coolest things about it. It feels a bit like going to a high school, where you meet people in the hallways you know, and says hello. And you get the feeling that it is a place where you matter and are not just one of the thousands who study here. You can actually have an influence on how campus is and looks," Cecilie says.

Student accommodation in Copenhagen

If you're moving to Copenhagen to study at AAU, you can choose from different types of accommodation depending on your preferences and budget. Options include student housing, a room in a shared apartment or a private apartment.

Student accommodation is available in different parts of Copenhagen, so you can choose whether you want to live close to campus or in another neighbourhood with easy access to public transport. Many students commute to campus by metro, bus or bike.

As housing in Copenhagen is in high demand, it is a good idea to start looking for accommodation as early as possible and explore different housing options before your arrival.
