About the programme

You should choose Mechanical Engineering if you are passionate about creating technical solutions that make a difference in the real world. The Master’s focuses on projects where you and your study group collaborate with companies to address current challenges, such as the design and production of mechanical systems or robotics solutions. The programme is for those who would like to combine theory, experiments and design in one international engineering programme.

New Master’s options

We expect that as of 2028 you will be able to take this Master's degree programme as a 2-year programme (full-time study, 120 ECTS credits) and as a 3-year Master's for working professionals (first year full-time and then two years of part-time study in combination with relevant employment)

Job and career

Graduates from the Manufacturing Technology programme have many possible career paths.

Problem based learning and working in groups during your study programme will give you many useful skills that make you an attractive candidate on the job market. You know how to approach a problem and solve it in collaboration with other people, which is often how things are done in the “real world”.

You can work with development or research in the area of production engineering, or you can be a technical manager in development projects. You can work in for instance the car industry, agriculture or the pharmaceutical industry.
