At the Department of the Built Environment, The “Urban Pollution” research group focuses on reliable quantification of the smallest plastic particles so that measured data are meaningful in the assessment of formation, transport, occurrence, fate, and risk of micro- and nanoplastics in all types of media (air, water, soil, waste, etc).

At the Danish Centre for Environmental Assessment (DCEA), we are working with environmental and social assessment of new technologies including those for production of bioplastic and treatment of plastic waste.

At the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, there is also focus on Environmental Chemistry, for instance regarding degradation and toxicity of petroplastics.
